MMI the Team Physicians & Elite sponsor for West Carroll Field Hockey

MMI’s Sports Medicine Specialist, Dr. Jeff Gilsdorf was invited to serve as the team physician for the West Carroll Field Hockey League.

On Saturday, September 8, 2007, Dr. Gilsdorf attended WCFH’s annual Parent Player Picnic. There, Dr. Gilsdorf met the coaches, parents and players for all three teams and talked to them about injury prevention as well as what to do after an injury occurs. He then addressed the coaches giving them pointers on how to determine if it is safe for a participant to return to the game after a minor injury has occurred.

Luckily, all three teams had a great season without any injuries. MMI and Dr. Gilsdorf are looking forward to continuing their relationship as Team Physicians for the 2008 field hockey season.  Coach, Jennifer Evans is working with WCFH’S League Coordinator to expand MMI and Dr. Gilsdorf’s involvement as the league grows adding two additional teams for the 2008 season.
